HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Hartford police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store Saturday night.
According to police, a black male entered the Select Food Mart on New Britain Avenue, just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. The suspect showed the clerk a black firearm and demanded cash from the register.
Police said the suspect was able to get away with an unknown amount of cash.
The store clerk did not sustain any injuries during the robbery, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male about 6 feet tall, weighing about 250 lbs. Police said the suspect was wearing a brown shirt over a red shirt and had a blue hat on during the robbery.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Hartford police.
