A former WWE diva was arrested three times this week after police said they received domestic abuse calls at her boyfriend's home.
Tamara Sytch, 39, is known to wrestling fans in Connecticut and the world as Sunny. She was the manager for the tag team named the Bodydonnas. She managed the Fitness Freaks, which included her long-time, high-school boyfriend, Chris Candido, during the late 90s.
The Branford Police Department charged Sytch, who is widely regarded as wrestling's first diva, three times this past week with crimes related to domestic violence against her boyfriend.
The former wrestler kept going back to his house after police told her not to return. During one of the incidents, Sytch put her boyfriend in a headlock and pulled his hair, police said. Another time, she was drunk and climbed through a window.
On Sept. 11, police were called to 33 Stone Ridge Lane just before 9 p.m. She was charged with disorderly conduct, released on $500 bond and appeared in New Haven Superior Court Tuesday on those charges.
On Sept. 12, police returned to that same residence at 4:49 p.m. where she was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree strangulation and violation of protective order. She was held on a $25,000 bond and was arraigned on those charges at superior court in New Haven Wednesday.
On Sept. 13, Sytch was arrested a third time and charged with violation of protective order. She was held on $2,500 bond and appeared at superior court in New Haven Friday.
Sytch was released into the care of her sister, who was taking her to a rehab center in New Jersey. The WWE is expected to pay for her medical care.
"There's a bed waiting for her today," said Sytch's sister, Denise Stone, in court Friday.
After court, Sytch did not talk to Eyewitness News, instead opting to go grab lunch.
