Man accused of assaulting East Hartford store clerk due in court

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A man accused of assaulting a store clerk during a robbery in East Hartford is due in court on Wednesday.

The robbery was reported at East Hartford Liquors on Brewer Street on Tuesday night.

Police said 29-year-old Forouhar Brown hit the clerk with a bottle and then stole a pack of cigarettes.

He was arrested by police after a brief struggle in an adjacent parking lot.
