An ironic situation unfolded on Interstate 91 south in Rocky Hill Wednesday morning after a fire truck caught fire, sending thick, black smoke billowing into the sky.
The incident was reported around 11 a.m. near exit 23.
Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said the right two lanes were closed between exits 24 and 23 so emergency crews could respond to the fire, causing some delays on the interstate.
No injuries were reported.
