WOLCOTT, CT (WFSB) -
An 11-year-old boy from Wolcott is recovering after being hit by a motor vehicle while riding his bicycle Wednesday evening.
Witnesses told police that the boy was riding his bicycle with friends on Oak Lane at 5:45 p.m. when he took a wide turn onto Lyman Road and was struck head-on by a car.
The boy was taken to an area hospital, however police said he had no broken bones and will likely be taken home Wednesday night.
No charges have been filed at this time and the driver stayed at the scene, police said.
The crash is being investigated by police at this time.
