MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -
The Milford Police Department said it was investigating a robbery at a Subway restaurant.
The robbery was reported just before 8 p.m. Sunday at the establishment on River Street.
Police said a man entered the store and engaged the employees in a conversation. During the encounter, police said, the man told employees he had a gun in his backpack and demanded money from the cash register.
After taking the money, police said, the man left the store, got on a bike and headed west on North Broad Street.
No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
The man was described as white or Hispanic and was between 18 and 20years old. He was about 5' 9" inches tall and was wearing gray gym-style shorts with two white stripes down the side, a dark colored long sleeve shirt with writing on the left breast area, white sneakers and New York Yankees hat and backpack.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
