City of Hartford lays off 14 workers - WFSB 3 Connecticut

The city of Hartford has laid off 14 of its workers.
The layoffs included middle management positions and saves the city $700,000.
The city also permanently eliminated five other positions.
According to Mayor Pedro Segarra, some workers making more than $45,000 a year will be required to take furlough days.
