Vernon woman accused of trying to steal groceries

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

The South Windsor Police Department arrested a woman they said tried to walk out of a Stop & Shop without paying for her cart full of food.

Police said Thursday, Patricia Duhaime, 53, of Vernon, was detained by Stop & Shop staff while trying to walk out of the store with a cart full of groceries.

The value of the food was $315, according to police.

Duhaime was arrested and charged with larceny and was released on $2,000 bond.
