NEWINGTON, CT (WFSB) -
The Sphinx Shriners Motor Patrol of Newington is offering a reward after someone broke into their trailer and stole three mini jeeps that are used in parades and competitions.
According to the Sphinx Shriners, the burglary happened sometime between Tuesday evening and Thursday afternoon.
The jeeps, which are each handmade and were built around 1955, are part of their "Motor Patrol's identity," according to the release.
The motor vehicles are used in competitions to raise money to support the Shriners hospitals for children with orthopedic disorders, cleft palate and burns.
Anyone who has any information is asked to call the Sphinx Shriners at 860-666-5449.
