Manchester home damaged by fire

MANCHESTER, CT. (WFSB) -

A home in Manchester was severely damaged by Fire early Friday morning.

Manchester fire officials said the fire broke out at 26 Bates Rd. around 5 a.m.

Officials said there was one person inside the home that was able to escape and was not injured.

Manchester fire officials said the flames took more than an hour to knock down, which caused extensive damage to the home.

Officials said the home will likely be deemed uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
