EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

East Hartford police arrested a New Britain woman after they said she stabbed another female several times with box cutter Wednesday night.

Police were called to 860 Main St. where they found Julia A. Jackson, 51, suffering from stab wounds to her neck and arms. She was taken to Hartford Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

According to police, Jackson had gotten into a fight with Janice Harvey, 60, of 108 Governor St. over money. Police said Harvey then stabbed her with a box cutter, which was recovered.

Harvey was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct. She was arraigned in Superior Court in Manchester on Thursday. She has not entered a plea at this time and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 29.

Jackson was charged with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
