State police arrested four men who were wanted in connection with a home invasion in Mansfield last month.
According to police, five masked men broke into a home on Derek Road on Sept. 4. When they entered the house, the men tied up two people while holding them at gunpoint.
Peter Alba, 34, of Windham along with Eric Racine, 34, of Mansfield as well as Javier Crespo, 22, and Antony Santiago-Figueroa, 24, both of Willimantic were charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping and sixth-degree larceny. All four men turned themselves into police Monday morning and expected to appear in Superior Court in Rockville on Monday.
A fifth man, Anibal Carrero Jr., 40, was arrested Sept. 12. Carrero fled from troopers as they were attempting to serve him with a warrant at his home at 281 Coventry Rd. The search for Carrero caused two schools in Mansfield to be placed on lock down.
