WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) -
Passengers had some scary moments while landing at Bradley International Airport.
A Southwest Airlines flight making its final descent experienced a bird strike on Wednesday afternoon, according to airport officials.
John Wallace of Bradley International Airport said the plane, which landed without incident, reported to the control tower it hit a bird about 25 miles from the airport.
The crew radioed the tower and said, "Right now we're unsure what exactly happened. We haven't lost pressurization. We did have a loud report. It sounded like (it was) off the right hand side of the aircraft."
Wallace said the plane, which was en route from Tampa, FL, was able to taxi to the gate using its own power after landing.
No injuries were reported.
