WESTPORT, CT (WFSB) -
A Trumbull man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he pointed a handgun at a woman over an incident of road rage.
An unidentified woman and her son were stopped at the intersection of Wilton Road and Kings Highway North in Westport around 6 p.m. When the victim's vehicle approached the SUV, the woman told police that the man, who was identified as Andrew Blum, 43, pointed a black-colored semiautomatic handgun at her son.
Blum sped off eastbound on Kings Highway North.
Using the SUV's license plate information, police determined that Blum lived in Trumbull and officers arrived at his home where he was arrested without incident.
Officers recovered a Glock 23, .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun, which was registered to Blum. Police said Blum had a permit to carry the weapon.
Blum was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment. He was released on a $2,500 bond is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Norwalk on Oct. 12.
