DANBURY, CT (WFSB) -
Police are investigating after a female college student at Western Connecticut State University reported being sexually assaulted in a dorm room.
Police say the attack occurred on Sunday, Sept. 30 in the early morning hours at the Midtown Residence Hall. College police responded and interviewed the victim and processed the scene.
The student was taken to Danbury Hospital for evaluation and received treatment from the Women's Center of Greater Danbury, WCSU spokesman Paul Steinmetz said.
The Danbury police at this point have not been involved in this case.
