Work completed on defective gear box on Old Lyme drawbridge

OLD LYME, CT (WFSB) -

Workers in Old Lyme have finished repair work on the 90-year-old drawbridge in town.

Mechanical failures had been creating problems on the bridge, which carries Amtrak trains across the Connecticut River.

A defective gear box has been repaired, which had caused delays in service.
