Three males rob Plainfield gas station

PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

A Plainfield BP Gas Station was robbed around 9:40 Saturday night according to Plainfield police.

Responding officers canvassed the area when they came upon a stopped vehicle that was in close proximity to the station.

The individuals inside were sweaty and breathing heavily. When asked where they were going, the responded saying they were coming from a friend's house and heading to check on their other friend who had just been robbed.

Officers ordered the individuals out of the car and conducted a pat down for the officer's safety.

Michael Brewer of Brooklyn, CT was found to have a large amount of cash in small denominations. Another passenger, Benjamen Langlois also of Brooklyn was covered with dirt and was wearing his sweatshirt inside out.

The two men, along with another juvenile were detained.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that Brewer entered the store with a handgun.

Officer Davidson and his K-9 partner Riker were able to recover multiple pieces of evidence, including the handgun.

All three were taken into custody for Robbery First Degree, Larceny Second Degree and Breach of Peace.

Langlois and Brewer were held on $50,000 bond and will be arraigned October 9, 2012.

The juvenile was processed and released into the custody of his mother.
