Five people, including two with serious injuries, were sent to the hospital after a two-car crash in Norwalk on Monday.
A minivan and an SUV crashed on North Avenue near France Street intersection, according to fire officials in a release Monday.
Two people had to be extricated from each of the vehicles, officials said. The vehicles did not cat catch on fire.
Six people were inside one of the vehicles during crash. Five people in total were sent to Norwalk Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The Norwalk Police Department is investigating the crash.
A portion of North Avenue was closed during the crash for two hours.
