HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Family and friends remembered a man shot and killed in Hartford Friday afternoon.

Police were called to 236 Sisson Ave. just after 4 p.m. for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found Omar Santana, 28, had been shot in the stomach.

Santana was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:59 p.m.

On Monday night, family and friends held a prayer vigil for Santana.

"Everyday, it's getting worse it's not getting better... I can't believe he is gone and I have to live my life without him," said Santana's sister Vinamore Quinoes.

Quinoes said her brother did not have major problems with anyone.

"Whoever did this, you can't hide even if you hide from police," she said. "You can't hide from God."

The family is preparing to bury Santana on Wednesday. However, they are having a hard time coming up with money needed for the funeral.

Anyone who wants to make a donation to the family, can make one at the Deleon Funeral Home, at 104 Main St.

There have been no arrests at this time. The shooting is under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hartford police at 860-757-4000 or by calling the tip line at 860-722-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
