VERNON, CT (WFSB) -
A registered sex offender was caught and charged with DUI on Sunday.
Efrain Morales, 43 was seen driving in the wrong direction on a divided section of Route 83.
He proceeded to fail field sobriety tests and was arrested.
He was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
His original offense was for the kidnapping and raping of a 6 year old boy in 1997.
