Meriden residents gather to discuss violence in the city

MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) -

Residents gathered in Meriden on Sunday night to discuss ways to curb violence after a double stabbing that killed one teen and injured another.

The New Life Church held a round table discussion in order to talk about new programs to help teens and prevent violence in the city.

Deandre Felton, 15, and Dashawn Jones, 13, were stabbed last month after police said the boys attacked a man.

Deandre later died, and Dashawn was seriously injured in the stabbing.
