Waterford police arrest suspect in Crystal Mall voyeurism case

WATERFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A Rhode Island man was arrested by Waterford police Monday after he is accused of spying on people using fitting rooms in stores at the Crystal Mall.

According to Waterford police, Christopher W. Gribble, 40, of Bradford placed a digital camera on his shoe and was sticking it under dressing room doors to videotape women changing at the Crystal Mall. It happened at least twice within the last month, on Sept. 8 and Sept. 29.

Gribble is charged with two counts of voyeurism and disorderly conduct as well as one count of risk of injury to a minor. He was released on a cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New London On Oct. 29.

Police thanked media outlets for getting the information to the public, which lead to several leads in the case.
