Town Democrats restore torched scarecrow display in Colchester

COLCHESTER, CT (WFSB) -

The Democratic Town Committee has restored the scarecrow scene that was destroyed by fire last week.

Investigators said the display was destroyed last week by fire.

At this point, police have not named any suspects in the incident.

Characters represented by the scarecrows included both local and national candidates for the Democratic Party.

The characters were restored during the 13^th annual Scarecrow Contest on the green.
