Man is killed in New Haven apartment building; another wounded

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

New Haven police said a man was killed inside an apartment building on Whalley Avenue Sunday night.

Police responded to a 911 call about 8 p.m. when they found a man in his 20s had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Minutes later, a man who was shot in the leg was admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is in stable condition. Officials are investigating if there is any connection between the incidents.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims. Check back for more details on this story as they become available.
