HEBRON, CT (WFSB) -
An 80-year-old woman from Hebron was in court Tuesday after being accused of removing controversial campaign signs.
Nancy Lack said she took down the signs because she found the images of President Barack Obama with a Hitler-like mustache offensive. Lack is now charged with larceny and breach of peace.
According to the assistant state's attorney, charges against Lack are expected to be dropped and the judge excused her from actually appearing.
In Connecticut the theft of lawn signs is punishable by up to three months in jail and up to a $500 fine.
