WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Waterbury are investigating a day-time bank robbery at the Wells Fargo branch at 800 Wolcott St. Tuesday.
According to police, a male suspect handed a note to a teller that stated he was armed with a gun. The teller gave the suspect an amount of money which police are keeping withheld at this time.
No weapon was actually displayed during the robbery, police said, and the suspect then fled after receiving the money. The getaway vehicle is described as dark gray or black sedan with tinted windows.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s. Police said he is about 5'6" to 5'8" tall with brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call Waterbury police. Tips can be called to CrimeStoppers at 203-755-1234 and cash rewards will be given for information that leads to an arrest.
