Hartford activates EOC

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The city of Hartford will activate its Emergency Operations Center at City Hall in preparation of Hurricane Sandy.

City officials said the EOC will begin operating at noon.

Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra and Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Edward Casares, Jr. announced Friday that preparations are actively under way or are planned in advance of the storm.
