At least three people have been killed as a result of Sandy, according to emergency officials.
Emergency officials in Easton said a firefighter was killed after a tree fell on his truck Monday night on Judd Road.
The firefighter's name has not been released.
"In this line of business, it happens all the time," said Easton Fire Chief. "And it was unfortunate it happened to us this time. It is the cost of doing and is the nature of doing firefighting."
The truck remained on the road and buried in trees Tuesday afternoon.
Connecticut State Police said a tree fell on three people in Mansfield on Monday afternoon, killing one woman.
Around 6:30 p.m., state police were notified of the situation on West Highland Road.
When troopers arrived, they said they learned the three people were attempting to go to a neighbor's house after losing power when the tree snapped and fell on them.
Olga Raymond, 90, of Mansfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two people, who have not been identified, were seriously injured.
The body of missing kayaker has been located along the Connecticut shoreline near Milford by the Coast Guard Monday afternoon.
The name of the missing kayaker is being with held at this time.
Another body was located, but officials have not been able to identify it.
Officials from the Coast Guard said someone called 911 after 8 p.m. at Walnut Beach when a man got into the water to swim and was pulled out in the strong tide.
Police said two people talked to the man, identified as Brian Bakunas, who told them he was planning on getting in the water to swim.
When he did, the two people said the strong tide pulled him out into the water and he could not swim back to shore.
One of the people ran to call 911 while the other kept watch over Bakunas as he was struggling, but eventually went under the water and never surfaced.
The Coast Guard said it started looking for Bakunas but suspended the search when it became too dangerous for rescuers.
It is unclear if the other body found is Bakunas.
