Mystic Aquarium to host trick-or-treating event for kids

MYSTIC, CT (WFSB) -

As trick-or-treat events are being canceled or postponed as a result of Hurricane Sandy, Mystic Aquarium officials announced an events for kids so they won't miss out on the festivities.

The Sea Research Foundation at Mystic Aquarium will open its doors Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a free, family-friendly trick-or-treating event among the aquarium's exhibits.

All are welcome to attend, and Mystic Aquarium officials said the facility will accommodate as many families as possible during that time.

The last admission is at 7:30 p.m., and people can stay inside until 8 p.m.

    A popular restaurant in Farmington suddenly closed its doors Thursday. Apricot’s Restaurant says they are shutting down for renovations until January.
