Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said Interstate 95 north in Milford has reopened after a gas leak in the area late Thursday morning.
The interstate was closed between exits 37 and 38 around 11:45 a.m., due to the leak. It was originally reported as a brush fire but turned out to be a gas leak.
The highway is expected to be shut down for more than two hours. State police detoured cars off the highway during the incident.
There are no reported injuries during the gas leak.
