Many viewers have asked how they can donate to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Here is how you can help.
We've teamed up with WCTY in Norwich for a drive that continues until Friday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at the Big Y on Route 82 in Norwich. Canned goods, clothing and money are all being accepted.
As of 4:30 p.m., 36,000 pounds of food and $8,000 have been collected.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, a community food drive will be held at the Chrysalis Center, 255 Homestead Ave. in Hartford. The donations will be delivered to the First Church of Old Lyme to be distributed.
Items needed include canned foods, pasta, toiletries and hygiene products, books, diapers, baby food and blankets.
You can text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief, which helps people affected by the hurricane.
