Secretary of the State Denise Merrill will be releasing Connecticut's final voter registration figures before Election Day.
She has scheduled a news conference on Monday morning to discuss the new figures.
New voters were given an extension of until last Thursday to register to vote because of the damage and widespread power outages created by Superstorm Sandy.
Merrill is expected to discuss the storm's effect on the state's polling places. The two largest utilities were working to make sure electricity was restored to those sites in time for the election. Connecticut Light & Power has discussed the possibility of installing generators if it becomes necessary.
Merrill also plans to unveil on Monday a new volunteer attorney program to help with potential problems at the polls.
