PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -
A Canterbury woman was seriously injured after a car crash in Plainfield early Sunday morning.
Police said Ashley Homand, 26, of Canterbury, was driving on Norwich Road around 2 a.m. Sunday morning when she crossed over the yellow line into the other lane. At that point, officials said she struck a mailbox and flipped her car.
According to police, Homand was unresponsive when crews arrived. She was taken to Backus Hospital, where her condition remains unknown.
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the crash.
