Voters get free loaves of bread in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Once again, Chabaso Bakery will celebrate Election Day by giving away free loaves of bread at a New haven bookstore to anyone with an "I Voted" sticker.

The Chabaso Bakery will be handing out the bread at Atticus Bookstore & Cafe in downtown New Haven, and voters can choose between a loaf of Chabaso's new Ancient Grains Demi Ciabatta, Wheat & Olive Oil Demi Ciabatta, or Whole Grain Demi Baguette.

For the past six years, Chabaso provided an abundant supply of their famous breads in what has become an election-day tradition.

Chabaso officials said that since then, more than 15,000 loaves have been passed out to voters.

Chabaso Bakery was established in New Haven in 1995.
