A satellite television provider is willing to bring back the channel that shows University of Connecticut Women basketball games, if it receives enough calls from upset viewers.
According to Eyewitness News viewer Carol, she contacted the company and asked them to restore SNY, which shows UConn women's games as of 2012, after dropping it from its TV package. The company said it would if enough viewers called and requested the channel.
So Carol called Eyewitness News and asked us to spread the word to other Dish Network subscribers.
Eyewitness News viewers can request SYNY by calling 866-722-7500.
SNY will be showing more than 340 hours of UConn women's basketball including 20 games as well as pre-and post-shows. The first game for the Huskies is against College of Charleston on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
