Connecticut's governor has announced the creation of a 14-member panel dedicated to finding ways to better help military veterans and their families.
The Governor's Veterans Cabinet is comprised of agency commissioners and other executive branch representatives.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy also said Friday that the state has a new website to give veterans one-stop access to services and benefits offered by state and local government. The website - veterans.ct.gov - will offer information on areas including employment and job training, health care and education.
Officials say they expect about 7,000 veterans to return to Connecticut over the next two years.
