HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Hartford are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store.
It happened at a convenience store located at 923 Maple Avenue, around 9 p.m. Saturday night.
Officials said a black male walked into the store armed with a small handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect was able to get away with about $1,000, police said.
The suspect was described as a black male standing about 5'9'' wearing gloves and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Police are now reviewing surveillance video, although they said the suspect's face was partially covered.
Anyone with information is asked to call Hartford police.
