Police are investigating an early morning crash on Interstate 84 in Southington.
Officials said a car was trying to negotiate a curve when the driver lost control of the car and veered off of the roadway.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning on the westbound side of the highway near exit 28.
The driver of the car was taken LifeStar medical helicopter to St. Francis Hospital for serious injuries.
Four other passengers in the car were also treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
No other details have been released.
