A pedestrian died after she was hit by a motor vehicle on Route 79 in Durham Wednesday night.
According to Valley Shore Dispatch, the woman, identified as 61-year-old Wanda Jacques-Gill, was walking on Route 79 when she was hit by a Jeep around 6 p.m.
Jacques-Gill was believed to have no pulse when she was taken to Middlesex Hospital, dispatch said.
She later died from her injuries.
Route 79 was closed down between Sand Hill Road and South End Avenue during the investigation, but has since reopened.
No charges have been filed at this time.
