Possible attempted abduction being investigated by Simsbury police

SIMSBURY, CT (WFSB) -

The Simsbury Police Department is investigating a possible attempted abduction of a young girl Friday afternoon.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl was walking home in the area of Firetown and Crestwood roads around 2:40 p.m. The girl told police a car stopped near her and the passenger yelled "get in my car."

Police are believed to be looking for a green-colored vehicle with two Connecticut license plates.

There were two people in the car at the time of the incident, the girl told police. She was unable to get a good description of the driver.

However, the passenger is being described as a white man in his mid-20s with short dark hair, no facial hair and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt.
