Rivals on the football field join forces for those in need - WFSB 3 Connecticut

On the football field they are arch-enemies, but two high school rivals put aside their differences for people in need on Saturday.
The Longmeadow and East Longmeadow High School football teams spent the day in front of the Big Y, as well as the Stop and Shop in the East Longmeadow.
The two teams helped to raise food and money donations for each town's local food pantry.
The coaches for both squads said it is good for their players to learn to put their differences aside.
Western Massachusetts residents can catch all of the Thanksgiving Day action from the local gridiron on CBS 3 Springfield.
We will have a special Valley Sports Replay on Thanksgiving at 11:15 p.m.
We will be at the Longmeadow vs. East Longmeadow showdown, as well as several others across the Pioneer Valley.
