
Between 500 and 600 people got an early taste of Thanksgiving thanks to the Springfield Armor on Tuesday.
Players and coaches from the NBA Development League team served a Thanksgiving lunch to hundreds of children and families at the YMCA of Greater Springfield Tuesday afternoon.
Players say that it's an important chance for them to help to members of the community.
"It humbles us. It gives us perspective on life, so it's good for everybody," said player Carleton Scott.
The team kicks off its fourth season with a home game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Nov. 30.
