Water main break reported in Danbury

DANBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A water main break was reported in Danbury on Tuesday morning.

According to Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, the break was reported in the area of Down Street and was affecting a few hundred homes and businesses.

He said he expected water service to be affected in the area for at least six to eight hours while repairs are made.

It was unknown was caused the break.
