Canton police investigate flashing incident

Posted: Updated:

Canton police are investigating an incident where a man exposed himself to a woman walking out of the post office Wednesday morning.

It happened at about 10 a.m. in the parking lot on Albany Turnpike.

"We have nothing related to it in the past couple of weeks," said police Capt. Lawrence Terra. "We are working with the surrounding police departments to see if they also have incidents."

Police said they are looking for a man with a scruffy beard who was driving a green Dodge Caravan.

The man is being described as a white man with dark brown, crew cut-type hair and unshaven. He was possibly wearing a tan jacket, police said.

People visiting the post office in Canton were surprised.

"Oh, that's scary that really happened," said Susan Bondanza.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Canton Police Department at 860-693-0221.
