Robbery at Henny Penny being investigated by Waterford police

The Waterford Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in the Quaker Hill section of town Thursday night.

According to police, a man entered the Henny Penny on Norwich Road just before 8:30 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk told police that the suspect implied that he had a gun and fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is being described as a white man about 6'1" and at the time of the robbery, he was wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt and black shorts with a white stripe.

The robbery is under investigation by the Waterford Police Department and anyone with any information is asked to call police at 860-442-9451.
