One person is arrested but another is still on the loose after a six-hour standoff at a Vancouver apartment complex on Friday evening.
Police now confirm the standoff is linked to a violent kidnapping case that took place two days before.
On Friday, officers arrived at the Fisher's Mill Apartments located at 1000 Southeast 160th Ave. at about 1:30 p.m.
Police said they were looking for a man who was wanted on felony charges and had barricaded himself inside an apartment.
The SWAT team was called in to negotiate. The standoff ended at about 7:30 p.m. without any injuries.
Police arrested Joanna K. Speaks, 22, of Vancouver in the standoff but they say a second suspect, Pedro Godinez Jr. is still wanted.
Dispatchers said a woman and two children were also inside with the man.
Vancouver police said the standoff was connected to a shooting that occurred on Wednesday when a man was kidnapped, robbed and shot near Vancouver Lake Park.
In that case, police found a 37-year-old man suffering from a multiple gunshots at the Kadow Marina.
Police said the victim was shot near Vancouver Lake and then walked about a mile looking for help. The suspects took the victim's black 2012 Nissan Sentra.
The victim was expected to survive.
Police are now looking for Godinez who is described as a Hispanic man about 5' 10" weighing 220 pounds and has black hair that is closely shaved.
He has tattoos on the right side of his head that say "Mariana" and "Monica" on the right side of his neck.
He has the word "Baby" on his right forearm and the word "Silent" tattooed on his left forearm.
Police said Godinez should be considered armed and dangerous and if anyone spots him they should call 911 immediately.
