A hearing on a preliminary injunction will be held Monday, as New Britain's landlords fight new fees.
The landlords have filed a lawsuit over a new law that requires them to pay a $150 fee for every unit they don't live in.
They will also be fined for buildings that generate a high number of police calls.
Landlords said they'll be left with no choice but to increase rent on their tenants.
But the city isn't backing down from those threats.
The city will start collecting the fees in February unless a judge grants an injunction to stop the fee from taking effect.

I first saw the headline early Tuesday on Real Clear Politics, a political news site where I generally start my morning. It's not where I expect to see a story on breast cancer.
