Smoke causes evacuation at Capital Community College in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Smoke caused officials at Capital Community College in Hartford to evacuate the building Tuesday afternoon.

The Hartford Fire Department received calls about smoking coming from a mechanical room on the 12th floor, around 3 p.m. As a precaution, the building was evacuated.

The condition was under control by 3:30 p.m. and students were allowed back in the building.

No one was injured during the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
