A Hartford police officer was injured after his motorcycle was hit by another motor vehicle on Hudson Street on Monday evening.
An 11-year veteran of the department suffered a leg injury during the crash and was taken to Hartford Hospital. His injuries are not expected to be life-threatening, according to police.
None of the people in the car were seriously injured.
At about 4:30 p.m., a car was parked, then appeared to have pulled in front of the police motorcycle, which was headed southbound on Hudson Street, police said. The motorcycle collided with the driver's side of the car.
The crash is under investigation by the Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit. Police are checking for surveillance video from neighboring apartments.
