Newtown man arrested after posing as healthcare provider online

NEWTOWN, CT (WFSB) -
Police in multiple states including Connecticut are working together after a 44-year-old Newton man was allegedly posing as a healthcare provider and secretly taping women, including his own relatives who are teenagers.
Dave Anderson was arrested by the Newtown Police Department last month on child porn charges. He was released on a $100,000 bond.
But, he was arrested again recently after his estranged wife came forward after seeing disturbing images on their computer.
People were outside Anderson's home when Eyewitness News arrived, but quickly closed the front door.
Anderson also owns a beach house in Salisbury, MA and that's where police say he was taping his relatives in a bathroom. The victims were between 10 and 13 years old.
People in Newtown are shocked to learn the news.
"It's scary. It's scary to think people like that live in a small town even though Newtown isn't that small. We think of it as a safe community," said Monica Krone of Newtown.
"You think it doesn't happen in this town or any town you live in and you find it's going on and it's sick," said Brian Pisacich of Newtown.
According to police, Anderson posed as a healthcare provider contacting women through the online site Craigslist. Anderson said it was for clinical research and women interested in his services would be paid between $25 and $50.
Police said they found thousands of women being examined at his beach house through videos on Anderson's computer.
Investigators said they believe it's something that has been going on for years.
"I probably shouldn't say what I feel about this because it's unimaginable for me that this happens," Pisacich said.
"It's just a crazy world we live in. I think you just never know. I don't think we are safe anywhere anymore. It's just kind of scary," Krone said.
Anderson is also being investigated in other states including New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire and Washington.
Police hope other victims come forward.
